The Curling World Championship for Men 2001 (official: Ford World Men's Curling Championship in 2001 ) was the 43rd staging (including Scotch Cup ) World Championships in curling of Lords. It was held from March 31st to April 8th of that year in the Swiss city of Lausanne in the Patinoire de Malley .
The World Curling Championships the men was in a round-robin tournament ( round-robin ) between the teams from Germany , Canada , the United States , France , Sweden , the Switzerland , Denmark , Norway , Finland and New Zealand played out.
The games were scheduled for ten ends .
After the previous year's defeat, the Swedes won their fourth world title. After ten ends, the host Swiss lost 3: 6 stones.
Norway finished third after beating Canada for the bronze medal with 10: 9 stones.
