The World Curling Championships the men in 1990 (officially: World Men's Curling Championship in 1990 ) was the 32nd (including Scotch Cup ) World Championships in curling of Lords. It was held from April 1st to 7th of that year in the Swedish city of Västerås in the Rocklundahallen .
The World Curling Championships the men was in a round-robin tournament ( round-robin ) between the teams from Scotland , Canada , the United States , the Federal Republic of Germany , Sweden , Norway , the Switzerland , Denmark , France and Finland played out.
The games were scheduled for ten ends .
The Scots challenged record world champions Canada in the final this year. In the end Canada was able to celebrate the 20th men's world title after a 3-1 win. Since there was no match for third place, the two semi-final losers Denmark and Sweden received a bronze medal.
