The Scotch Cup 1965 was the 7th edition of the curling tournament and was held from March 15th to 18th of that year in the Scottish city ​​of Perth in the Perth Ice Rink . The cup competition today has the status of the men's curling world championship .

The Scotch Cup was played in a round robin tournament between teams from Scotland , Canada , the United States , Sweden , Norway and Switzerland . The games were scheduled for twelve ends .

The Americans broke the Canadians' winning streak and celebrated their first triumph at the Scotch Cup.
