The Scotch Cup 1966 was the 8th edition of the curling tournament and was held from March 21st to 24th of that year in the Canadian city ​​of Vancouver in the PNE Forum . The cup competition today has the status of the men's curling world championship .

The Scotch Cup was played in a round robin tournament between teams from Scotland , Canada , the United States , Sweden , Norway and Switzerland . France joined the field as the seventh team . The games were scheduled for twelve ends .

After the defeat last year, the Canadians won the Scotch Cup back in front of their own audience in the final against Scotland. For Canada it was the seventh success in this competition.
