Milwaukee Theater .
The World Curling Championships the men in 1989 (officially: Hexagon World Men's Curling Championship in 1989 ) was the 31 host (including Scotch Cup ) World Championships in curling of Lords. It was held from April 3rd to 9th of that year in the US city of Milwaukee , Wisconsin , in the Milwaukee Auditorium .
The World Curling Championships the men was in a round-robin tournament ( round-robin ) between the teams from Scotland , Canada , the United States , the Federal Republic of Germany , Sweden , Norway , the Switzerland , Denmark , France and Italy played out.
The games were scheduled for ten ends .
The Canadians and Switzerland contested the final. Canada defeated the Confederates 5: 4 stones. For the North Americans it was the 19th men's world title. Since there was no match for third place, the two semi-final losers Norway and Sweden received a bronze medal.
