The men's curling world championship in 1971 (officially: Air Canada Silver Broom 1971 ) was the 13th event (including the Scotch Cup ) of the men's curling world title . It was held from March 16 to 21 of that year in the French winter sports resort of Megève in the Savoy Alps in the Palais des Sports de Megève .

The World Curling Championships the men was in a round-robin tournament ( round-robin ) between the teams from Scotland , Canada , the United States , the Federal Republic of Germany , Sweden , Norway , France and Switzerland played out. The games were scheduled for twelve ends .

Canada won the final 9-5 against Scotland. For the fourth time in a row and for the eleventh time overall, Canada was at the top of the podium.
