The Curling World Championship for Men 1999 (official: Ford World Men's Curling Championship in 1999 ) was the 41st competition (including Scotch Cup ) World Championships in curling of Lords. It was held from April 3 to 11 of that year in the Canadian city of Saint John , New Brunswick in the Harbor Station .
The World Curling Championships the men was in a round-robin tournament ( round-robin ) between the teams from Scotland , Canada , the United States , Germany , Sweden , the Switzerland , Denmark , Norway , Finland and newcomer New Zealand played out.
The games were scheduled for ten ends .
Once again, the two opponents from Canada and Scotland met in the final. After ten ends it was a 5-5 draw, so an extra end had to bring the decision. Scotland won the eleventh ends with 1-0 stones and became world champions for the third time.
Switzerland secured the bronze medal against the United States with 8: 3 stones in the game for third place.
