The men's curling world championship in 1969 (officially: Air Canada Silver Broom 1969 ) was the 11th event (including the Scotch Cup ) of the men's curling world championships. It was held from March 18th to 22nd of that year in the Scottish city of Perth at the Perth Ice Rink .
The World Curling Championships the men was in a round-robin tournament ( round-robin ) between the teams from Scotland , Canada , the United States , the Federal Republic of Germany , Sweden , Norway , France and Switzerland played out. The games were scheduled for twelve ends .
In the final, the United States faced record world champions Canada to break their dominance. The USA lost with the final score of 6: 9.
