The men's curling world championship 1983 (officially: Air Canada Silver Broom 1983 ) was the 25th event (including Scotch Cup ) of the men's curling world championships. It was held from April 11 to 17 of that year in the Canadian city of Regina , Saskatchewan at the Regina Agridome .
The World Curling Championships the men was in a round-robin tournament ( round-robin ) between the teams from Scotland , Canada , the United States , the Federal Republic of Germany , Sweden , Norway , the Switzerland , Denmark , Italy and newcomer Austria played out.
The games were scheduled for ten ends .
The German team played their first final at a men's World Cup. Opponents were the hosts from Canada. They won their 15th title at the 25th World Cup.
