The men's curling world championship in 1968Air Canada Silver Broom 1968 ) was the 10th event (including the Scotch Cup curling world championships. It was held from March 20th to 24th of that year in the Canadian city of Pointe Claire , Québec in the Pointe Claire Arena .
The World Curling Championships the men was in a round-robin tournament ( round-robin ) between the teams from Scotland , Canada , the United States , the Federal Republic of Germany , Sweden , Norway , France and Switzerland played out. The games were scheduled for twelve ends .
Canada won the final against Scotland and won the first title called the World Cup . Overall, winning the title in 1968 was the Canadians' eighth success.
