from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The World Curling Championships the men in 2018 (officially 361 ° World Men's Curling Championship in 2018 ) was from March 31 to April 8 in Las Vegas instead. The venue was the Orleans Arena in Paradise .

Unlike in previous years, not 12, but 13 teams took part. At the same time, a new playoff format was introduced, for which the six best teams in the Round Robin qualified. The two winners each made it to the semi-finals. The remaining four teams played for the remaining two semi-finals in two qualifying games, in which the 3rd played against the 6th and the 4th against the 5th. Sweden became world champion with Skip Niklas Edin .
