Rolf Koch

Rolf Koch (born May 4, 1968 in Nuremberg ) is a German former basketball player . The 1.98-meter-tall winger played for Steiner Bayreuth and SSV Ulm in the basketball Bundesliga during his career .

career

Rolf Koch finished fourth with the German national cadet team (U16) at the 1985 European Championship and with the U18 at the 1986 European Championship.

Between 1986 and 1989 Koch was part of Steiner Bayreuth's team , in 1988 and 1989 he was German cup winner, in 1989 German champion. Rolf Koch was also involved in Bayreuth's best European Cup season in 1988/1989.

In the 1989/90 season, Koch spent a year abroad in the United States , studied at Eckerd College in Florida and was part of the college's basketball team.

From 1990 to 1996 Koch played for SSV Ulm in the Bundesliga and won the German Cup in 1996 in his last season. He was also used in the shirt of the "Spatzen" in the European Cup. He then moved to TSG Ehingen in 1848 , with whom he rose as a player-coach from the district league to the regional league and as a player (and assistant coach to Ralph Junge ) in 2003 in the 2nd basketball  league. Then Koch ended his playing career and took on management tasks at the newly founded team Ehingen Urspring , which he later carried out together with Nico Drmota .

As a full-time chef, he was head of city marketing for the city of Ehingen .
