Henrik Leek (born March 15, 1990 in Härnösand ) is a  Swedish  curler.  He is currently playing as a substitute in  Niklas Edin's team .

Career

Leek played for the first time internationally at the  Junior World Championships in 2009  as a substitute for the Swedish team around Skip  Oskar Eriksson  and came fourth there. At the  Junior World Championship in 2011  he played second and won the gold medal.

At his first European championship in 2014 he was - as at the following world and European championships - as a substitute in the Swedish team around Skip Niklas Edin. The Swedes beat Norway in the final with Skip Thomas Ulsrud and won the gold medal. At his first World Cup in 2015 , this final pairing came up again and this time too, Leek and the Swedish team retained the upper hand. It was followed by a gold medal at the  2015 European Championships ; in the final the Swedish team won against Switzerland with  Peter de Cruz . The winning streak broke at the  2016 World Cup , in which Leek only came in sixth place. At the  2016 European Championships  , however, the gold medal was won again, again through a win against the Norwegians and Thomas Ulsrud. At the  2017 World Cup  , Leek was able to move into the final; the Swedes lost there but Canada with Skip  Brad Gushue  and won the silver medal. At the  European Championships  in the same year he achieved the fourth victory in a row with the Swedes after the Scottish team with Skip Kyle Smith could be  defeated in the final  . At the 2018 World Cup there was a new edition of the final pairing from 2017. This time the Swedish team with Leek as a substitute with a 7-3 win over the Canadians around Brad Gushue got the upper hand and won the gold medal.

Leek and his teammates (Skip: Niklas Edin, Third: Oskar Eriksson, Second:  Rasmus Wranå , Lead: Christoffer Sundgren ) represented Sweden as a substitute in the men's team competition at the  2018 Winter Olympics  . After seven wins and two defeats, they finished the Round Robin first. In the semifinals they defeated Switzerland with Skip Peter de Cruz . In the final they were defeated by the US team led by John Shuster with 7:10 and won the silver medal.
