Ice cellar in Cannes-Écluse

The ice cellar (French glacière ) in Cannes-Écluse , a French commune in the Seine-et-Marne department in the Île-de-France region , was originally probably built in the Middle Ages and rebuilt from the existing material in the 20th century. The ice cellar is located on Rue Chaude.

The quarry stone building originally belonged to the castle . It is covered with shingles and two and a half tons of ice could be stored here in summer.
