Ekiel Raby
Ekiel Raby (also Ekiel Rabinovich ) (born October 18, 1893 in Ljady , Russian Empire ; † in the 20th century ) was a Russian ivory carver .
Life
Ekiel Raby lived in Paris . The ivory carver belonged to the artist group L'Evolution , founded by the Éditeur d'art (art publisher) Arthur Goldscheider in the early 1920s with representatives of Art Deco , whose work Goldscheider exhibited in 1925 at the Paris Exposition internationale des Arts Décoratifs et industriels modern . Raby received the Grand Prix for his ivory exhibits . At the Paris World Exhibition in 1937 he exhibited his work in the pavilion of the Société des Artistes Décorateurs .
