Ekkehard Geib (born November 21, 1909 in Berlin ) was a German administrative lawyer , district administrator and State Secretary of Schleswig-Holstein .

Life

Geib studied law in Kiel, Berlin and Paris. He was in 1932 a doctorate from the University of Kiel with the dissertation The ratio of the Covenant to the Kellogg Pact . From 1932 to 1936 he was employed as a court and government trainee in Kiel. From 1938 to 1945 Geib served as district administrator in the Reichsgau Sudetenland in the districts of Falkenau an der Eger , Bärn and Sternberg (Moravia) .

After the war he worked as an authorized signatory in the private sector. In 1949 he moved to the Ministry of Culture as a consultant and from 1956 to the Ministry of the Interior of Schleswig-Holstein.

Geib worked from 1962 until his retirement in 1975 as ministerial director and state secretary in the finance ministry of Schleswig-Holstein. From 1968 he held an honorary professorship at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel .
