Ekkehard Tschirner

Ekkehard Tschirner (born October 1, 1943 - † December 30, 2012 ) was a German aviation clerk.

Life

Tschirner began training as an aviation salesman at Lufthansa in 1966 . For the company he held a managerial position in sales in Frankfurt am Main and Hamburg. He then worked at the Berlin location, initially as Head of Lufthansa Sales for North and East Germany, then from 1995 to 2003 as the Board Member for Economics and Politics. Under his leadership, Lufthansa increased its commitment in Berlin considerably and, with numerous group companies, grew into one of the largest private employers in the Berlin-Brandenburg region. Since 2004 he has been political advisor to the Association of German Travel Management (VDR).

He was a member of the supervisory board of Hertha BSC GmbH & Co. KGaA .
