The championship was won three years later, with a 3-2 playoff win in the final against CLM Talavera . The rise of ElPozo Murcia to a fixture in the Spanish futsal sport began in the 2001/02 season with the arrival of the Brazilian coach Eduardo Sao Thiago Lentz "Duda". This was followed by the Cup victory in 2003, the Supercup in 2006 and two championships in a row in the 2005/06 and 2006/07 seasons.
