El Limón is a city in the northwest of the state of Aragua in Venezuela . It is located on the banks of the El Limón River, in front of the Henri Pittier National Park . It is the administrative seat of the Municipio Mario Briceño Iragorry.
history
The area where El Limón is now was part of a hacienda during colonial times, where sugar cane was grown. The first owner was the captain Don Diego de Ovalle, a Portuguese . The region was later sold to various people.
