El Maresme | Fòrum is an underground station on the Barcelona Metro . It is located in the Sant Martí district . The station is served by metro line 4 . You can change to five bus lines and to tram line 4 of the Trambesòs at the above-ground stop. It is located at the southern end of Avinguda Diagonal . The station is named after the nearby event area Fòrum .
history
The station was subsequently put into operation on August 4, 2003 on the eastern extension of line 4 from Selva de Mar to La Pau, which was opened in 1982. The opening took place in the presence of the Catalan regional president Jordi Pujol . The surrounding districts had requested the establishment in connection with the hosting of the International Forum of Cultures in 2004.
The tram stop went to the first section of the Trambesòs on May 8, 2004, the day before the opening of the forum, held in the presence of Barcelona Mayor Joan Clos .
