The Monturull is a mountain in the area of Les Valls de Valira in the Principality of Andorra .
At an altitude of 2761 meters, it lies directly on the border between Andorra and Catalonia . Together with the Tossal de la Truita (2752 meters), it forms the borderline between the Pyrenees and Spain in the south of Andorra . In Catalan records it is referred to as the Torre dels Soldats (Soldiers Tower ) as it was used as an observation post in earlier times. The mountain top was part of the Catalan Optical Telegraphy Network .
