Eladio de Souza (* in the 20th century) is a former Uruguayan football player .

Career

Defensive player De Souza is the paternal uncle of the brothers Julio and Marcelo De Souza . He played at club level in 1958 for Club Atlético Peñarol in the Primera División . His club won the Uruguayan Championship that season . In 1960 he won the first edition of the Copa Artigas with the Club Atlético Defensor . In 1962 he was also in the defensive ranks.

National team

De Souza was a member of the Uruguayan senior team . For the Celeste he completed from his debut on July 15, 1961 in a 1-1 draw against the Bolivian national team to his last appearance on April 22, 1962 in a 3-1 defeat against the CSSR a total of eight internationals. He did not score an international goal. However, he is also involved in the international game against the USSR on April 27, 1962, which he lost 5-0. Among other things, he was used in the two World Cup qualifiers against the selection of Bolivia on July 15 and 30, 1961.
