Elaine Shepard
Elaine Shepard (born April 2, 1913 - September 6, 1998 in New York City ) was an American author and actress .
life and career
Shepard made her acting debut in film in 1936. She subsequently took part in a number of short films and feature films. She also had a musical appearance in the play Panama Hattie (1940). After a few years she retired and wrote books. Due to her presence in the media, she was rumored to be having an affair, leading to a defamation lawsuit against Dorothy Kilgallen . This lawsuit dragged on for years.
