The Elder Peak is a 2,360 m high mountain in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . In the Churchill Mountains it rises 10 km southwest of Mount Wharton on the northern edge of the Chapman snowfield .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 2003 after William C. Elder, a topography engineer for the United States Geological Survey , who was involved in exploring the Churchill Mountains between 1961 and 1962.
