Electrocutango

Electrocutango is a Norwegian music group that belongs to the Electrotango group.

history

The project was founded by Sverre Indris Joner in Oslo. The debut album "Felino" was mainly conceived for TanGhost, a tango and theatrical performance that was choreographed by the famous Argentine tango dancer Pablo Verón. The music was awarded the renowned Norwegian Edvard Award for "Best Music composed to stage / film / other art forms" in 2005. In 2006 the show toured internationally, including in Prague, Shanghai and Beijing. In April 2011 Electrocutango released their second album "Adrenalina"with a release tour in Buenos Aires, among others. During her concert at the Academia Nacional de Tango, Sverre Indris Joner was given the honorary title “Académico Correspondiente” of the Academy by the President Horacio Ferrer.

Today their music is played in tango clubs around the world and is very popular with dancers who work with Electrotango , such as Tanghetto , Gotan Project , or Bajofondo Tango Club .
