Elektra is a variety of the apple ( Malus domestica ), which is a cross of ' Cox Orangenrenette ' and ' privy councilor Dr. Oldenburg '. It was raised at the Institute for Arable and Plant Production in Müncheberg .

description

The initially medium-strong and later weak-growing tree forms diagonally upright, sparsely branched leading branches. The small crown has a broadly conical shape. The variety is highly susceptible to cancer, but only slightly susceptible to powdery mildew .

The flowering time is long lasting. The flowers only develop on short shoots and are sensitive to frost.

The small to medium-sized fruit is 68 mm wide and 58 mm high and weighs 95 to 100 grams. The dry to rough and hard shell is greenish-yellow in color and has a brownish-red to reddish brown coating. The yellowish white flesh is firm, fine-celled, juicy, sweet with little acidity and noble aromatic. It is ripe for picking from mid to late October. It is ready for consumption from November to February. The apple is hardly sensitive to pressure and can therefore be stored. It is suitable for fresh consumption and domestic processing.
