Elena Braslavsky

Elena Braslavsky (* in Moscow ) is a Russian pianist and music teacher.

Braslavsky studied at the Gnessin Music Academy in Moscow. After emigrating to the United States, she received her PhD from the Juilliard School in New York. As a scholarship holder of the Fulbright Program and the German Academic Exchange Service , she continued her education at the Cologne University of Music and Dance and the European Mozart Academy in Prague.

She has performed as a concert pianist in North and South America, Europe, Japan and Korea and has worked as a chamber musician with, among others, Steven Isserlis , Nobuko Imai and Mstislav Rostropovich . Cellist Jeremy Bentley is a regular musical partner . With him and the violinist Nurit Pacht , she founded the Flatiron Trio in Krakow in 1995 , which is particularly dedicated to music education. With Risa Schuchter , Bernhard Krabatsch and Findley, she has formed the Salzburg Ensemble since 2005, which performs with a repertoire ranging from classical to contemporary music ( Jiří Gemrot ). Braslavsky taught at the Juilliard School and the Mannes College of Music in New York before moving to the Mozarteum in Salzburg.
