Elena Desderi (born September 20, 1967 in Demonte ) is a former Italian cross-country skier .

Career

Desderi, who started for the Sci Club Busca, first appeared internationally at the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1987 in Oberstdorf . There she finished 41st place over 20 km freestyle, 40th place over 5 km classic and fifth place with the relay. At the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary , she won 36th place over 20 km freestyle and tenth place with the relay. The following year she ran at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti on 25th place over 10 km freestyle, 23rd place over 30 km freestyle and sixth place with the relay. In March 1991 she won the bronze medal over 10 km at the Winter Universiade in Sapporo and came in 18th place over 10 km freestyle at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Val di Fiemme .
