Winfred Amoah (born May 18, 2000 in St. Gallen , Switzerland ) is an Austrian soccer player of Ghanaian descent.

Career

Amoah started his career at SK Sturm Graz . At Graz, he went through all age groups in the academy from the 2014/15 season. In July 2018 he made his debut against ATSV Stadl-Paura for the amateurs of Sturm in the third-class regional league . In March 2019, he scored his first goal in the Regionalliga in a 3-0 win against Stadl-Paura. In the 2018/19 season he made a total of 28 third division appearances, in which he scored two goals.

In September 2019 he was against SCR Altach for the first time in the professional squad of Graz. During the winter break of the 2019/20 season, he was firmly promoted to the professional squad. In June 2020 he received a contract with Sturm that runs until June 2022. In July 2020 he made his debut for the professionals in the Bundesliga when he came on as a substitute for Jakob Jantscher in the 79th minute against TSV Hartberg on the 32nd matchday of the 2019/20 season .

For the 2020/21 season he was awarded on a cooperation basis to the second division club Kapfenberger SV .

Personal

His father Charles (* 1975) also played for Sturm and was a Ghanaian international.
