Matija Horvat (born May 7, 1999 in Čakovec ) is a Croatian football player .

Career

Horvat started his career at DSV Leoben . In 2013 he moved to Kapfenberger SV . In March 2016 he made his debut against SV Anger for the Kapfenberg amateurs when he was in the starting line-up on matchday 16 of the 2015/16 season.

He made his professional debut in July 2016 when he came on for Patrick Schagerl in the 77th minute of the cup game against SVg Purgstall . In May 2017 he was finally in the squad for the first time in the league.

He made his debut in the second division in December 2017 when he was brought into play for Lucas Rangel in the 73rd minute against FC Wacker Innsbruck on matchday 20 of the 2017/18 season .
