Elena Faggionato de Frondizi

Elena Faggionato de Frondizi (born June 30, 1907 in Buenos Aires , † April 24, 1991 ibid) was an Argentine politician's wife.

Life

Faggionato was born to Giuseppe Faggionato and Clelia Cavicchi. She grew up with her sister Alfredo Auerino Faggionato. In 1931 she married Arturo Frondizi and had a daughter with him (Elena Frondizi Faggionato; 1937–1976).

From 1958 to 1962 her husband was President of Argentina and she was first lady. At the end of June 1960, during a state visit to Germany, President Lübke awarded her and her husband the special level of the Grand Cross of the Federal Cross of Merit.
