The Elephant Lagoon is a 500 m long lagoon on the north coast of South Georgia . It is located immediately south of Cook Bay and is connected to it via the Carl Passage .
Scientists from the British Discovery Investigations mapped it between 1926 and 1930. The naming background is not known.
