Elfriede Heisler , actually Elfriede Quabius (born March 31, 1885 in Breslau , † February 21, 1919 in Berlin ) was a German actress of the silent film era .
Life
Elfriede Heisler originally came from the theater. After engagements "in the provinces" and later at the Friedrich-Wilhelmstädtisches Schauspielhaus in Berlin, she was appointed to the Royal Berlin Playhouse in 1910 by the latter's senior director Patry , where she got leading roles in entertainment plays.
She stood in front of the camera for the first time in 1912 and made several films under the direction of Emil Albes . She stood in front of the camera with Hugo Flink and Rosa Valetti , among others .
Heisler died in 1919 at the age of 34 as a result of a suicide attempt with veronal . The motive for the suicide attempt is said to have been an unhappy love.
Your final resting place is in the south-west cemetery Stahnsdorf . Her grave monument is decorated with her portrait relief and the inscription "Torn from art through suffering and hardship, your young life broken, the world that offered you so little, you gave it a lot".
