Elie Kakou , real name Alain Kakou (born January 12, 1960 in Nabeul , Tunisia , † June 10, 1999 in Paris , France ) was a French actor , singer , comedian and parodist .

Elie Kakou was born in Nabeul to Jewish parents, but grew up mainly in Marseille .

His short career, which made him a cult figure in France, began in the early 1990s with comedic appearances in various theaters and variety clubs, including the Olympia in Paris. Many of these appearances were filmed and televised. His best-known role was that of "Madame Sarfati", a Jewish housewife who immigrated to France and who talked about God and the world, mostly in a negative way. As a parodist, he mainly imitated Dalida , Nadia Comaneci and Jean-Paul Gaultier , who was given the name Goudier by him. In 1994 a CD was released with songs he interpreted.

Between 1997 and 1999 Kakou was seen in a total of four feature films.

Elie Kakou died on June 10, 1999 of complications from lung cancer , and his HIV disease also accelerated his death. He was buried in the Jewish cemetery in Marseille.

On the 10th anniversary of his death, a DVD, a book, his own homepage and a documentation about the comedian were released. In his honor, a memorial plaque was unveiled in Longchamp Park in Marseille.
