Eliezer Cohen

Eliezer Cohen ( Hebrew אליעזר כהן; * June 18, 1934 in Jerusalem ) is an Israeli politician of the Jisra'el Beitenu party, which is part of the right-wing party alliance National Union . From 1999 to 2006 Cohen was a member of the Knesset . For the 2006 elections he could no longer stand up. He was a member of the Constitution, Law and Justice, Women's Rights, Science and Technology, and Water Supply Committees.

He graduated from Tel Aviv University with a Master of Arts and later became a pilot and commander of the Israeli Air Force . In 1974 he retired as a colonel. Between 1977 and 1978 he was a member of the Democratic Movement for Change , a short-lived small party in which former members of the Likud, the Labor Party and other parties came together. In 1990 he published a book on the history of the Israeli Air Force entitled The Sky is Not the Limit . The book later appeared in the US, UK and China.
