Elim (place, Namibia)

Elim constituency map

Elim is a settlement in the Omusati region in northern Namibia . It forms the center of the constituency of the same name . The settlement is also the traditional center of the Uukwambi kings .

Elim was founded as a Finnish mission on July 18, 1870. The settlement is considered the birthplace of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Namibia .
