The also climbing light yellow hybrid tea Elina was crossed by the Irish rose breeder Dickson in 1983 from the floribunda rose Nana Mouskouri (Dickson 1975) and the hybrid tea Lolita (Kordes 1972). It is registered under the name DICjana and is also traded as peaudouce (dt. Sweet skin).

description

Its noble, slightly fragrant, double flowers with 17 to 25 petals have an average diameter of 15 cm (6 "). Their color is influenced by the weather and ranges from lemon yellow in cool areas like their home to creamy white in warmer conditions All season blooms are very weather-resistant, grow in clusters on sturdy stems and are well suited as cut flowers.

'Elina' has dense, shiny foliage and reaches a height of about 70 to 120 cm (28 "to 4 ') and a width of 75 to 80 cm (30" to 31 "). The rose is very robust and frost hardy ( USDA Zone 7b ), but somewhat susceptible to powdery mildew. In 1987 Elina received the ADR (General German Rose Novelty Examination) award, which is awarded for healthy, robust roses. In 2006, Elina was elected World Rose.
