Elisabeth Johanna von Pfalz-Veldenz (* 22. February 1653 in Lauterecken ; † 5. February 1718 in Mörchingen ) was a born Countess Palatine of Pfalz-Veldenz and by marriage wild and Rhine Countess to Salm-Kyrburg .

Life

Elisabeth Johanna was a daughter of Count Palatine Leopold Ludwig von Veldenz (1625–1694) from his marriage to Agathe (1632–1681), daughter of Count Philipp Wolfgang von Hanau-Lichtenberg .

On December 27, 1669, she married the Wild and Rhine Count Johann XI. zu Salm-Kyrburg (1635–1688). The marriage remained childless. After Johann's death, Elisabeth Johanna received Mörchingen Castle and the Diemeringen and Helfingen lords in 1689 as a Wittum . After Elisabeth Johanna's death, the female descendants of Count Palatine Johann Kasimir and Georg Friedrich raised claims to the county of Mörchingen, which a Lorraine court in 1729 finally awarded them.
