Elisabeth Koehler

Elisabeth Köhler (born January 1, 1955 in Altenstadt (Iller) ) is a German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ).

Köhler first attended elementary school and then secondary school. She did an apprenticeship and was a clerk at the city of Schwabmünchen . Afterwards she was managing director of the Catholic rural youth and from 1987 to 1990 regional office manager of the parliamentary group of the Greens. She is also the chairwoman of the German-Kurdish women's initiative.

From 1990 to 2003 Köhler sat in the Bavarian state parliament . There she was parliamentary group spokesperson from September 1996 to September 1998 and then deputy group chairwoman and parliamentary manager.
