Elisabeth von Trapp

Elisabeth von Trapp (* 1955 in Vermont , USA ) is an American singer and member of the Trapp family .

Life

Elisabeth, one of Werner von Trapp's daughters , grew up in Vermont. Her family, known for their passion for music, significantly influenced their youth. She had experiences with music in her early childhood - started playing the piano at the age of 8 and had smaller gigs with her siblings around Vermont at the age of 16 .

Her music makes use of many styles - both modern chorales and Gregorian chant , hymns, psalms and pieces of music by Hildegard von Bingen . She appears together with Erich Kory. She gave concerts in the USA , Russia and Austria .
