Elisabetta Spitz (born on January 22, 1953 in Rome ) is an Italian architect and administration manager with Austrian roots.

After numerous, in some cases high-ranking, management positions in Italy, she was appointed government commissioner for the MO.SE project for flood protection in the city of Venice in November 2019 . Her area of ​​responsibility is endowed with an unusually large number of competencies, which is why she is referred to in the media as a “super commissioner”.

Between 1992 and 1999 she had been chairman of the Consortium for the Security of the Residential Areas of Venice.
