Elise Breuer
Elise Breuer or Else Breuer ( May 31, 1872 in Münster - after 1914) was a German opera singer ( soprano ).
Life
Her unmistakable musical talent asserted itself at an early stage. After she had acquired the necessary knowledge first in Münster, later in Dresden with August Iffert , she went to Frankfurt in 1886 for further training with Julius Stockhausen .
After two years of training, she gave her first concert in her hometown. At the special suggestion of Heinrich Gudehus , she entered the Bremen stage for the first time in 1890 and was engaged there. In 1891 she came to Sondershausen, 1892 to Halle, 1896 to Basel and 1897 to Braunschweig, where she stayed until 1900. from 1900 to 1905 she was a member of the Bavarian Court Opera in Munich. She then worked as a guest from Berlin until around 1914.
In Bayreuth she appeared in 1899 as "Ortlinde" in Die Walküre and as "Soloblume" in Parsifal . In 1908 and 1910 she sang at the Munich Wagner Festival.
