The Eliza Rocks are a group of up to 8 m high cliffs in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . They are located west of the Zed Islands .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1958 after the Schmack Eliza , built in 1794 , which operated as a seal hunter in the waters around Desolation Island between 1821 and 1822 .
