Elizabeth Arciniega

Elizabeth Arciniega Haag (* in Mexico City ) is a Mexican actress and Swiss citizen.

Life

Elizabeth Arciniega studied dramatic literature and theater at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) . Then she completed some additional training to perfect her acting skills, one with Adriana Barraza , another with Ludwik Margules.

She played her first leading roles on the theater stage in the classic plays Poesía en voz muda by Luis Mario Moncada . where she won the Best Actress Award at the 5th National Youth Theater Competition awarded by the National Bellas Artes Institute (INBA), the Mexican City Council (DDF), SOCICULTUR and the Youth Counseling Center and presented by José Solé . Laura Winfield was named Best Young Actress by the Mexican Society for Theater Critics (AMCT) for the role of Laura Winfield in The Glass Menagerie . This was followed by numerous roles in theater , telenovelas and films . In total she has participated in over 50 productions, with most of the leading roles in the theater.

The highlights were the telenovelas María Belén and Mujeres engañadas, which were exported worldwide after being broadcast in Mexico in 2001/00. Elizabeth Arciniega played the lawyer Licenciada Rocha, who defended the child Maria Belén.

Another high point in 2008 was in the James Bond movie Quantum of Solace , where she played the friend of Mr. White - the villain and adversary of Bonds.

In 2004 she married a Swiss citizen and moved to Zurich , where she founded the theater group LaVox Theater , directed and also acted herself. LaVox Theater would like to bring the audience closer to the Spanish- spoken theater and the Latin American culture in the German-speaking area . LaVox Theater had performances in several Swiss cities and was honored by two Mexican ambassadors in Switzerland for the performances of Rosa de dos aromas , Biografía de Mujer and Sueño de Monja .
