Elke Brunnemer

Elke Brunnemer (born October 1, 1952 in Neckarbischofsheim ) is a CDU politician from Baden-Württemberg . From 2001 to 2016 she was a member of the Baden-Württemberg state parliament .

education and profession

After graduating from high school in Neckarbischofsheim in 1971, Brunnemer studied biology and sport at Heidelberg University . In 1978 she completed her studies with the second state examination. She then worked as a teacher at the Auguste-Pattberg-Gymnasium in Neckarelz until 1995 and then until 2001 at the Wilhelmi-Gymnasium in Sinsheim .

Political activity

Brunnemer co-founded the CDU local association in Adersbach in 1990 and has been its first chairman ever since. In 1993 she became a member of the district executive committee of the CDU Rhein-Neckar, and has been deputy chairwoman since 2005. In 2001 Brunnemer was elected to the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg and represented constituency 41 (Sinsheim) there until 2016 . Elke Brunnemer was a member of the following state parliament committees: Committee for Labor and Social Affairs, Committee for Family, Women and Seniors, Committee for Rural Areas and Consumer Protection. She is a member of the CDU district committee for North Baden.

Elke Brunnemer is married and has three children.
