Elke Lehr

Elke Maria Lehr , born as Elke Maria Schmidt , (born September 22, 1962 in Singen am Hohentwiel ) is a German swimming trainer who, in addition to swimming training, is very committed to the integration and sporting activities of migrant women .

Life

Elke Lehr was born on September 22nd, 1962 in Singen am Hohentwiel. Her school education was followed by training to become a doctor and veterinary assistant .

Since joining the DLRG in 1978, she has been on guard duty at the Tiengen outdoor pool in Waldshut-Tiengen . Since 1985 she has also been active in water rescue as a boat guide. She has also been teaching swimming courses since 1988 and has been increasingly involved in the integration of migrant women since 2009.

She is married and has four children who also do a lot of voluntary work in the German Life Saving Society .

Services

  • By 2011 training of approx. 1700 people on safe handling in water, especially swimmers.
  • Since 2009, management of a national network project "Physical Activity and Health - more immigrant women in sport" by the German Olympic Sports Confederation selected project the DLRG local group Waldshut-Tiengen e. V.

In recognition of her achievements, she received the Cross of Merit on Ribbon on August 13, 2011 .
