Elke Windisch

Elke Windisch (* 1951 in Demmin ) is a German journalist who also works as an author and filmmaker .

life and work

From 1969 , Windisch studied Turkish , Iranian and Slavic studies at Berlin's Humboldt University . She has been a journalist since 1973. Since 1992 Windisch has been the permanent Russia correspondent for a number of German and Austrian print media and as a Central Asia expert for German television. She also worked for the Russian foreign broadcaster Voice of Russia from 1992 to 1994 . Windisch Moscow is currently the correspondent of the Tagesspiegel . As a filmmaker and documentary filmmaker, Windisch worked for the renowned Terra X and Countries - People - Adventure series .

Book publications appear primarily on topics of their journalistic work such as Central Asia; Windisch is also a translator from Russian .
