Elmar Schallert (born January 13, 1944 in Innsbruck ) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and archivist. From 2004 to 2014 he was a member of the Vorarlberg state parliament and lives in Nenzing .

Until 2009, Schallert was the diocesan archivist of the diocese of Feldkirch . He has been active in Nenzing's community policy since 1990. He has represented the ÖVP in the state parliament since October 20, 2004 and was area spokesman for seniors within the ÖVP state parliament club. Schallert ran in the state elections in 2009 in 20th place on the ÖVP state list and was thus able to move into the Vorarlberg state parliament again as a member. In the run-up to the state elections in 2014 , Schallert announced that he would no longer stand as a candidate for the state parliament and therefore left it on October 15, 2014.

Schallert is married and has three sons. In 2005 Elmar Schallert was invested in the Order of the Knights of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem .
