Elmar Schick

Elmar Schick (born September 17, 1922 in Fulda ; † August 2019 ) was a German historian.

Elmar Schick was born in Fulda in 1922 as the son of the teacher Karl Schick. He was a marine during World War II. After returning from captivity, he worked as a primary school teacher in Maberzell, Eichenau, Almendorf and Lehnerz. Most recently he headed the Johannes Hack School in Petersberg. He retired at the age of 61. In February 2019 he was awarded the City of Fulda Culture Prize.
