Elonkorjuu is a Finnish progressive rock band formed in 1969 .

history

The guitarist Jukka Syrenius, who comes from Pori , was awarded the second prize in the Finnish band competition in the second year of its existence with his band colleagues Heikko Lajunen (vocals), Veli-Pekka Pessi (bass), Timo Hannukainen and Eero Rantasila (drums). In 1972 the group released the LP Harvest Time on EMI ; Flying High followed six years later , Running Fast , also under the band name Harvest(and supplemented by saxophonist Jari Perkiomäki) for the international market. Despite intensive tours and festival appearances, the attempt at publicity failed and the band broke up. In 2003 Syrenius and Pessi reunited with other musicians and the following year they recorded Scumbag , which was now produced in a more blues-oriented manner. In 2010 a live double album and a complete work was released.
